This is The Alex Legg Memorial Foundation's final Scholarship. We're so proud to have been able to help out many great artists in the six years we've been operating and this year, for our final hurrah, we've decided to help out not one, but three artists, with grants of $1000 each. Are you a Melbourne based singer/songwriter looking for assistance, both financially and in other ways to develop your songs and career in a meaningful way?
The ALMF is looking for three people who could make best use of the funding and support it can offer. The successful applicants will not only write amazing songs but also possess the will and drive to develop a sustainable, long lasting music career.
The Alex Legg Memorial Foundation 2020 Scholarship Application
The ALMF is looking for three Melbourne based singer/songwriters to be assisted, both financially and in other ways to develop their songs and career in a meaningful way over a twelve month period. It's a little bit difficult during lockdown and the COVID-19 crisis, however here's what we are offering. The Scholarship comprises a $1,000 Grant plus access to ALMF Board Members’ experience, expertise and networks, and any other career assistance and direction the ALMF may provide in the spirit of Alex Legg, who devoted so much time and energy to encouraging emerging Singer Songwriters. Applications open on Wednesday 15th July and close Monday 31st August 2020. The three recipients will be announced and notified individually on the 30th September.
All applicants will have the opportunity to interface with the ALMF Board and make use of any advice and resources it can offer.
The successful applicant will not only write amazing songs but also possess the will and drive to develop a sustainable, long lasting music career. This is not a song or singing competition, the ALMF is looking for artists it can help, whose values and aspirations reflect those of the Foundation. If you think that's you, please fill out the details below and submit the application by midnight on Monday 31st August 2020.
